Collection Crush - Modern Country from George at Asda
George as Asda have got some seriously gorgeous homeware this season. I've been having a browse through a few collections recently, and I think they're my favourite. Completely affordable and so pretty. I'm still definitely a country girl at heart with my style, and this range is perfect for moving into spring (after weeks of almost constant rain and gloomy skies I'm dreaming of Spring right now!).
Here are some of my favourite items, but I have a feeling that they will be featuring fairly regularly on a Wednesday for the next couple of months!
1. This bunny cushion is so cute! I love the fact there is still a bunny trend this year. This piece of cuteness is £6.
2. Mr Blog Faced finds this 'Bloom where you are planted' wall art to have a slightly odd sentiment, but I really like it - it kind of suggests to me that wherever you are you should make the most of that situation. For £5 I'm tempted to buy it and keep it in my office.
3. This floral vase has a spot waiting for it in my bedroom - love this yellow so much. This beauty is £10.
4. And keeping up the bunny theme - could this bunny rug be any cuter? Nope. For £25 it'll help bring some cute country charm to boring floor space.
So two of these items are already in my shopping basket online...with more to be added.
Hope you love them as much as I do.
Be back soon.
xx

Collection Crush - Christmas at Thornback and Peel
We will be away from home for Christmas this year, but I'm still looking for an excuse to buy some of the truly beautiful Christmas tableware from Thornback and Peel. I thought I'd live vicariously by sharing their 2017 Christmas prints. It may be a good thing that we don't need anything this year - I'd be hard pushed to choose between these prints.
If you'd like to treat yourself (because it is the season and all that jazz...) you can find them here:
Christmas Tree Tableware Set
Robin and Holly Napkins
Stag and Mistletoe Placemats
Turkey and Sprout Napkins
The ranges include napkins, placemats, crackers and trays. Basically everything you need for a gorgeous table this season (I love the designs of Thornback and Peel...can you tell?).
Tomorrow I'm going to try to get all my Christmas shopping done - wish me luck!
Bye for now

Collection Crush - Wrendale Designs
So this isn't the first time Wrendale Designs has featured on my blog, and honestly - it won't be the last. I think I'd buy pretty much anything and everything if it featured the gorgeous art work of Hannah Dale.
I'm very happy that one of the latest releases has been a collection of scarves as now I can wear my love of adorable creatures with pride. My only issue is which design to buy (must...not...buy...them...all).
I've picked my four favorites above and if you'd like to see some closer images check them out at the links below (clockwise from top left)
Pink Ladies Flamingo Scarf
A Waddle and a Quack Duck Scarf
Some Bunny Scarf
A Dog's Life Scarf
I can see at least a couple of these featuring in my autumn wardrobe.
Bye for now.

Collection Crush - Cath Kidston Pets Party
Some new items and patterns have appeared on Cath Kidston - and some of them are absolutely gorgeous. I have a feeling they will appear in a few 'Collection Crush' posts. For today, however, I had to go straight to the new 'Pets Party' items. I have a niggling voice in my head telling me I'm too old for this range. But then another reminds me that it is a pattern featuring guinea pigs wearing glasses and hats and I realise I just don't care.
Yes, that's right - guinea pigs all dressed up and ready for a party. Amazing.
I love every item in this range - there are things for kids, and big kids and they are just so ridiculously cute. I suddenly realise my drink is worthless if it isn't served in the cup above. If you're interested in any of the above, you can find them here (clockwise from top left):
Open Carryall Bag
Notepad
Cup and Saucer
Cardigan
I have a sneaky suspicion that some items from this range will be finding their way into my life very soon - I just need to wait patiently for pay day (yeah right...patient...its freakin' guinea pigs in clothes).
Bye for now!

Collection Crush - Satellites by Rosebud Casson
The jewellery designs of Rosebud Casson are a fairly new discovery of mine, but I'm already smitten. When I saw the new 'Satellites' range I knew I had to feature it on here. I've always had a special place in my heart for all things astronomy. When I was growing up at home my dad built himself a giant telescope and could often be found in the garden looking into the sky. As a teenager I'd bring friends/ boyfriends to the house and often find that if I left them alone for a few minutes they would have been gathered up and taken out to look at various wonders in the sky (sun spots anyone?).
The moon designs in this collection are particularly reminiscent of the photos of the moon my dad would take through the telescope...and I have a feeling that at least one of the necklaces will make its way into my collection soon.
If you're interested in any of the above items you can find them here (clockwise from top left):
Moon Necklace
Galilean Moons Statement Necklace
Ganymede Moon Necklace
Saturn Earrings

Collection Crush - Hawthorne Handmade
A little embroidery love for Collection Crush this week. This embroidery kits by Hawthorne Handmade are available through sewandso.co.uk.
I'm a little bit in love with all of them, although the Alpaca is my favourite - they look like a simple and relaxing make, so they're going on my 'to-do' list (which is crazy long at the moment...seriously).
If you'd like to try one of these kits you can find the whole range here. All images from sewandso.
Happy Stitching!

2. Leaping Bunny Sticks
3. Bunny Candle Holder

My love for animal themed prints continues and this week I'm very happy to have discovered the gorgeous prints of Thornback and Peel. If you'd like to find out more follow the links below. I'm starting to build up a bit of a homeware wishlist in case we do buy a new home (which is something I'm equal parts scared and excited about) and some of these prints are definitely being added.
1. Blackbird and Bramble
2. Chicken and Carnation
3. Rabbit and Cabbage
4. Pigeon and Jelly

Collection Crush - Quail Ceramics
I've found a new source of amazing ceramic homeware...and it is packed full of bird and animal themed items...woo!
Quail ceramics make a number of homeware items...egg cups, mugs, vases, jugs, salt and pepper shakers...and more, all themed around animals and birds of all shapes and sizes. I actually own a piece of Quail Ceramics already...a budgie egg cup...which I flipping love. For today's crush I thought I'd pick out some of their woodland/ forest animal and bird items. I'll be back on another Wednesday with some more of their items with a slightly more exotic animal and bird theme (giraffes...lovebirds...camels...lions...amazing!).
The photos above are from http://quailceramics.co.uk, and if you'd like to see more of the items click on the links below...
Bear Jug
Barn Owl Egg Cup
Hare Butter Dish
Mouse Salt and Pepper Shakers
I have a sneaky suspicion that more of these items are going to start appearing in my home...so watch this space!

Collection Crush - Magpie 'Birds'
As a child I used to spend hours reading my way through natural history books and think that has added to my love as an adult of prints in this old school style. I absolutely adore the style of Magpie's new collection 'Birds'. I'm planning to buy a couple of items from the range to add a little vintage feel to a couple of rooms which need a bit of colour (I love the pink of the flamingo design). They'd also compliment the current trend for large green leaf prints and all things tropical really well. Here are a few of my favourites from the range:
1. Heron Trinket Tray
Bird Coasters
3. Flamingo Tea Towel
4. Heron Cushion

Collection Crush - Stitchsperation
Something a little bit different for my Collection Crush this week. I'm always on the look-out for more modern cross stitch designs, and I stumbled upon these amazing designs by Stitchsperation on Etsy.
I love all the designs in the shop which can be bought as kits. They come with handpainted fabric and the thread needed to stitch the black designs. These are some of my favourites, but there are some pretty amazing not safe for work designs there too.
I've got a few crafty projects on the go at the moment but I'm definitely adding one (or two) of these designs to my to-do list!
1. Shake it off
2. Ampersand
3. Carpe Diem
4. Makers gonna make

Collection Crush - Animal Designs at Urban Outfitters
Household items shaped like animals are just so much better than boring old normally shaped items. Over the years I've tried to tone down my collection of animal themed items, but I'm not sure I can resist these mugs/ teapots from Urban Outfitters new season.
If you want to bring a little more animal into your tea drinking then follow the links below to find the items above...
1. Raccoon Mug
2. Bunny Teapot
3. Cat Mug Set
4. Bunny Mug Set

Collection Crush - Marigold at Marks and Spencer
The 1970's are alive and well in Marks and Spencer for their new season of 'Marigold' home ware. The colours in this collection are so pretty and remind me of spring. The oven gloves also totally remind me of a pair my mum had so they get plus points for nostalgia. Here are a few of my favourites:
1. Tea, coffee and sugar tins
2. Oven Gloves
3. Tea Towell
4. Apron

Collection Crush - No Probllama at Paperchase
I've realised recently that whenever I post items/ crafts/ collections of 'things' that involve animals/ birds/ all creatures great and small I always start by saying that I "love (insert creature here)". That's mostly because I genuinely do get so much happiness from watching/ being around most living things (not slugs...never slugs) but I do have a list of my favourites, and llamas are definitely on them. This new range from Paperchase - No Probllama - is perfect in it's style, colour, pompominess (new word) and name. A few of my favourites are above and follow the links below for more llama and pom pom joy...
1. Tin Tray
2. No Probllama Pouch
3. Luggage Tag
4. Set of Drawers

Collection Crush - Cath Kidston Ducks
I only have one word to say about Cath Kidston's new collection..and that word is awwww!
I flipping love ducks. Always have. One of my first pieces of jewelery when tiny was a necklace of a mother duck and her babies, and I think that set a life-long love for our webbed footed friends. I was absolutely delighted to find some duck themed items in Cath Kidston's new season. At the moment there are only 4 items (hence including 2 aprons...but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more! The colour palette of these items is beautiful as well...perfect for a country kitchen.
Follow the links if you want to find out more:
1. Ducks in a row apron - this is my favourite item - it has a duck swimming on the pocket for goodness' sake!
2. Ducks Double Oven Glove
3. Ducks Set of 2 Tea Towels
4. Ducks PVC Apron

Collection Crush - Next Happiness Range
It's January...which means new seasons in homeware...which makes me very happy indeed.
Next is one of my go-to stores for homeware and they haven't disappointed this year with their 'Happiness' range - lots of beautiful yellows to brighten up any home...and they'll be perfect for welcoming spring. Four of my favourites are above. The black elements in the doormat, canvas print and vase set add a nice contemporary feel to the designs which I really love. The pig planter is a little bit kitsch but my indoor garden is suddenly looking very bare without it.
If you'd like to find out more about any of these items, and bring a bit more sunshine into your home then click on the links below.
1. Bee Happy Doormat
2. Yellow Pig Planter
3. Canvas Print
4. Set of Vases

Collection Crush - Nordic House
Not so much a crush on a specific collection this week...more like a crush on a whole shop. I've always loved the minimalist look and relaxing feel of Nordic Style and so when Nordic House was recommended to me I had to take a look...and am in love with pretty much everything they sell. I think my love of 'stuff' is always going to get in the way of me achieving this look, but these items would surely help (photos all from Nordic House...I don't own any of their items...yet)?
Hexagonal Tealight Holders
Mirror with Shelf
Antique Copper Cutlery
Hanging wrought iron candle holder
Browsing their website is a new addition to my list of 'relaxing activities'. I'd love to know what you think of this Nordic style - it's a look I definitely admire - if I ever manage to conquer my clutter I may achieve it one day!

1. Tweed Dress
2. Mini Leather Tote
3. Norfolk Rose Wallet

Collection Crush - Paperchase Woodland Tails
I haven't been a fan of any Paperchase ranges for the last season and although my bank balance has been pleased, I have really missed having a Paperchase range to drool over. That has changed with their new Woodland Tails range. If features a whole host of animals with a woodland theme, so it's no surprise I love it! I was very spoiled on my birthday and friends at work got me a few pieces from this collection which I absolutely adore. I thought I'd share a few other pieces of the collection which I love, although I have to say that every single piece is so pretty...
1. Pencil Case
2. Rabbit jar of paperclips (this is my favourite!)
3. Padfolio
4. Glasses case
This was definitely my most challenging collection crush so far...narrowing it to 4 items was tough!
Bye for now xx
